KOMY Phone
What the KOMY Phone really costs.
You buy the phone once. The KOMY service – Komy’s voice, the parents’ app, updates and the data plan – costs little per month and can be cancelled at any time. All figures are here, including the totals.
Good to know: Komy speaks German. Voice, stories, encyclopedia, learning games and the parents’ app are in German; contract language and legal texts are German as well.

All prices include 19% VAT; shipping to Germany and Austria is included. The service starts on the day of dispatch; today only the phone is paid for.
Not a throw-away device
The phone belongs to you, not to us. When your child outgrows the KOMY Phone, you release it in the settings with your Komy code. After that the Samsung Galaxy A07 is a perfectly normal Android smartphone: all apps, normal home screen, no locks. So you do not buy a second phone for the next school. Samsung promises six Android upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy A07 – the device really does last that long.
On release, what your child did with Komy is deleted from the phone; the encrypted backup on your parent phone stays. You cancel the KOMY service separately via the cancellation button. The step cannot be undone on the phone. The release is part of every KOMY Phone we deliver.
No contract, no minimum term
- Cancellable monthly. The service ends at the end of the current billing month; with yearly payment, monthly after the first year. You cancel via the cancellation button, no call, no letter.
- The phone stays yours. Even without the service, Komy’s voice, the stories, the games and the morning routine keep running, because they work offline. Data SIM, voice messages, safe places and updates end.
- 14-day right of withdrawal. Within 14 days of receipt you can withdraw from the order without giving reasons; the phone goes back, you get the purchase price refunded. Right of withdrawal (German).
- Delivery to Germany and Austria, included in the price. Payment is handled securely via Stripe by card, SEPA, PayPal or Klarna.
Family rate: how the proof works
The family rate is for families receiving Kinderzuschlag, Wohngeld or Bürgergeld. As proof, a photo or scan of the first page of the current notice by e-mail to me@sysea.de is enough; you may black out amounts. We only check that the notice is in your name and current, send you the voucher code and delete the proof afterwards.
About the device and its manufacturer
- Device: Samsung Galaxy A07, model SM-A075F/DS, set up by Sysea as the KOMY Phone (“Samsung Galaxy A07 mit KOMY”).
- Manufacturer of the device: Samsung Electronics GmbH, Am Kronberger Hang 6, 65824 Schwalbach/Ts., Germany. Safety and usage instructions come with the device in Samsung’s quick guide.
- Provider of the KOMY Phone (setup, software, service): Sysea, owner Markus Ealy, Auf dem Hofdriesch 11, 35321 Laubach, Germany, me@sysea.de.
- Updates: Samsung promises six Android upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy A07. You receive updates of the KOMY software for as long as the KOMY service runs.
- Warranty: the statutory two-year warranty (Gewährleistung) by Sysea applies. Samsung’s manufacturer guarantee exists alongside it.
- Disposal: old devices and batteries do not belong in household waste – disposal notes (German).
What the service pays for
The monthly fee carries the data SIM, the KOMY server that voices Komy’s reminders at night, the updates for both apps, and the safe places, voice messages and SOS between your phones. At launch the phone itself is sold below our cost; the first hundred devices are carried by the service.
