Short text
The KOMY Phone is a children’s phone for children aged about 5 to 11 that manages without open internet, without an app store and without messengers. On the phone – a fully set-up Samsung Galaxy A07 – lives Komy, a German-speaking companion with his own voice who listens, marvels along and needs the child’s help: not a tutor, not an answer machine, no grades. Plus a complete children’s encyclopedia with more than 5,000 articles that works without the internet. Parents reach their child by voice message, learn when the child has arrived safely and have an SOS button; what the child does with Komy stays on the child’s phone, and there is no cloud account for the child. When the child outgrows it, the parents release the device and it becomes a normal Android smartphone. The KOMY Phone is developed by Sysea in Laubach (Hesse, Germany). Price: €169 once at the launch price, KOMY service from €4.99 a month, cancellable monthly.
